Student Opportunities

Graduate Students

Interested in being part of our research team? We provide graduate research opportunities for students who are interested in pursuing PhD or Master’s degrees in Kinesiology or Community Health. Students get the chance to design their own studies and work with Dr. Rice to achieve academic success. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Rice at ricela@illinois.edu.

Undergraduate Students

We offer research opportunities to undergraduate students who are interested in learning more about research and supporting the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities. Undergraduate students can also receive course credit for work in the lab.

Undergraduates will be expected to work approximately 5 hours per week in the laboratory. The position is unpaid, but students may receive course credit for their work. Applications are currently being accepted for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
